Diamond Sky Cakes has been years in the making. I've loved baking my entire life, thanks to my mom who always let me help out when I was young. We baked batch after batch of cookies each Christmas and she even let me pick out the fancy recipes from the magazines at the grocery store checkout counter.

 

I can't for sure remember when I started decorating cakes, but I'd watched an inordinate number cake shows on TV, and when my first child was born over a decade ago, I decided I wanted to make him a special cake. It was a Big Bird cake and it wasn't even close to perfect, but I loved making it for him anyway. From there I took a cake decorating class and since then I've been baking cakes for family, making all sorts of designs.

I really love cake and cookie decorating and folks told me I should start my own business. In New Jersey, though, it was illegal to sell baked goods from your house until 2021! When the law was passed, I took the food safety course and obtained my Cottage Food Operators permit. And then, I finally opened up my home bakery, Diamond Sky Cakes. I hope you'll try us out and that you enjoy eating our cakes as much as I enjoy making them.
